Osteospermum is our flower of the month for February 2025.
In February on our farm the ground is usually covered with snow. No flowers are blooming (unless you have a greenhouse). The white of the petals seems appropriate for the white on the ground at this time of year.
About Osteospermum
The plant that produced this particular blossom was grown by us from seed at our PA urban farm.
The plant is part of the sunflower and daisy family Asteraceae. The range of color in this pretty white flower is amazing.
We grew these plants for years at our home in Pennsylvania and we plan to grow them on our new farm in Ohio.
