About Our Farm
We are a 9+ acre farmstead that includes the original farm house from an 1885 homesteading section purchase.
Our family bought this property in 2024 and we are on an adventure to share flowers and more with you.
We can be found on flat rural farmland about 30 minutes south of Cleveland, OH.
Our Mission
We’re dedicated to giving you a place where you can experience flowers as they grow on their plants, in the ground and under the sun!
Currently the farm is in a stage or rescue and renovation.
We will be open for select events during 2025. Visit our Learn page for the events schedule.
We’re also available for private tours for groups who are interested in the rescue/renovation process. Contact us for details.
We invite you to join us as we share the story of the development of the farm, plant the gardens, offer workshops, and stock a farm store full of goodies for you to enjoy!
Our Journey
Our journey started with a quarter acre plot of land in a small town in Pennsylvania. We filled that yard with edible plants – fig and apple trees, berry bushes, and a garden.
Sometimes life would get busy and our garden care would get, shall we say, a bit lax.
Which led us to a surprising and beautiful discovery!
We found that when you allow simple garden plants to flower and go to seed the result is gorgeous blooms that attract birds, butterflies, bees, and insects of all colors.
We yearned for room to grow and share our discovery with others.
In early 2024 we were blessed to become the keepers of these 9.4 acres and our idea for The Flower Farm Ohio was born.
About Our Flowers
The flowers you’ll discover at our farm can’t be found in cut flower stores.
To enjoy these flowers you must see them in their native state, with roots in the soil, and leaves and flowers reaching for the sun.
Plus there’s so much more to a plant than the bloom! Each time you visit the farm you’ll experience flowers and their plants at a snapshot of their existence.
Events, and Workshops
We’ll also offer events and workshops on a range of topics like gardening, simple homesteading, wellness, and art. See our Learn page for the current schedule of what we have planned.
In addition to visiting the flowers and learning at our workshops, remember to shop at the Farm Store, scheduled to open Fall 2025. So you can bring the experience of The Flower Farm Ohio home with you. All items in the store are made in the U.S.A. by makers and artists we personally know. We strive for goods that are produces without chemicals, using organic ingredients and materials when possible. Our focus is to connect you to small producers, to benefit you and them, and to keep our local economies strong.
The Flock
As you explore the farm, you’ll likely encounter a hen or two or more. Our flock of heirloom breed chickens roam freely and provide us with fresh, nutritious eggs every day. We love the relationship we have with the chickens. We provide them with food, water, safe coops, and plenty of pasture to explore. They provide us with manure to nourish the soil and lots of eggs to eat!
Our Commitment to Regenerative and Sustainable Practices
We are committed to regenerative and sustainable practices. We are active members of OEFFA, Rural Action Committee, and the Real Organic Project. From these organizations and more we learn how to be good stewards of our land, working with nature rather than against it. No chemical pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, or other inputs are used on our farm.
